It is enough to look at the map once to see that the best starting point on the border of Lower Silesia and Upper Lusatia regions for travel in almost any direction is Lubań. Its location in the centre of the district, communication advantages, numerous shops and bicycle maintenance centres, as well as very good accommodation services make it a perfect place to start both easy and much more challenging journeys.
In order to fully utilize all that Lubań town and district have to offer for the cyclist, it is worth using a professional guidebook. At the end of 2011 the District Council issued a cyclist’s guidebook to Lubań district. This book is interesting because of number of reasons. Firstly, it has been written by two specialists – one being an experienced cyclist and repairman, the other, exceptional guide and regionalist. Secondly, the content of the book meets the needs of various readers. Thirdly, the work is available both in print and electronic version. Without a doubt any cyclist armed with such a handbook will be able to reach his or her destination quickly, enjoyably and suitably to their needs. The handbook is available inside County Administrator’s Office, in Lubań’s tourist information office and on the website of the county.
