Geotourism

For those who are passionate for geology this area is the real Eldorado. Extinct volcanoes, rare rock outcrops, secondary and primary mineral deposits – it’s all at your fingertips. You only need to visit the town and the region, to find out that these great assets are extremely interesting because of it's geological past.
What is more, there is a trail that takes geotourists to see the extinct volcanoes. The route passes through places from, which volcanic products have been mined. From a tourist point of view, it is important that during the journey not only rocks can be enjoyed, but also the unique wildlife and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
For those who love minerals there are many prospects waiting. Agate, jasper, touchstone, natrolite, peridot, are the many semi-precious stones, patiently waiting for finders. Due to a well-developed transport infrastructure, accommodation and catering, Luban is a  fabulous base for excursions in all directions.
